FAQEvery Wedding is different and therefore each have their own set of unique questions. To try and make it a little easier we've put together the questions we hear most often and answers for each. If you have a question not covered here please don't hesitate to ask!HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY FLORIST? As with any other vendor, availability is key. At least 6 months before the wedding is ideal, especially for peak season dates (May-September). We can even start as early as 12-18 months, especially if you are looking at a popular date (usually 3 day weekends). If you are set on us as your florist you can always put down a retainer to hold your date and talk details closer to the date. We have worked on tighter timelines with available dates, we do like to order product 1 month in advance to ensure availability. I EITHER HAVE A VERY BUSY SCHEDULE OR WILL BE OUT OF TOWN UNTIL THE WEDDING, CAN YOU STILL WORK WITH ME? Absolutely! We have done many weddings, probably almost 50%, entirely via e-mail or Facebook messages, and even with a little help from Pinterest. We understand that it is not always possible to meet in person and make every effort to accommodate you by making the process as easy as possible. We are still able to share ideas and images to be sure that we are both on the same page and that you are pleased with what has been decided. I AM A VERY VISUAL PERSON, CAN I SEE SAMPLES OF YOUR WORK OR EVEN A MOCK UP OF WHAT'S BEEN ORDERED? You are not alone! Many people are visual and can't always picture what is being described and have to see it. We have and online portfolio here on our website, please visit our Gallery, or check out our Facebook Page which we keep updated with our recent work. We are also on Pinterest and Instagram. If you would like to see a mock up we can do that for you for the quoted for that item. We've even scheduled it once for a bride to take her proposed bouquet with her to her first dress fitting. We can also invite you in to see flowers and colour combinations when we have similar ones in for another wedding or event. DO YOU HAVE WEDDING PACKAGES OR A PRICE LIST I CAN LOOK AT? Everyone is different, each wedding is different, and budgets are different. We prefer to create custom pieces that reflect on the bride's vision for her wedding day. We will take the look that you want to achieve and make floral recommendations that will fit within your budget. We find a package too constricting and don't allow us to celebrate your individuality, because this day really is all about the two of you as a couple and who you are I AM ON A BUDGET, CAN I STILL HAVE BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS? Of course you can! We understand that by the time you've gotten to the flowers you have realized that everything costs more than you planned. We know that everyone is on a budget, and respect that. It is our belief that everyone deserves to have beautiful flowers on their wedding day no matter their budget and will work with you to make that happen for you. We will even help you find ways to stretch your flower budget, some examples:
DO I NEED TO PICK UP MY FLOWERS OR DO YOU DELIVER? We deliver! Generally speaking for weddings and events we will travel an hour one way for delivery, anything outside of that will be judged on a case by case basis. We like to deliver the day of to ensure everything is at it's freshest. We also will do set up of any floral pieces. If you have someone local and would like them to pick it up we can accommodate that too! Everything is packed for easy transport and labeled where needed. WHAT IS A GOOD STARTING POINT WHEN MAKING CONTACT WITH YOU?? You can come to us with very specific ideas about what you want and we can quote you based on that, or give us your budget and we can make recommendations about how to achieve that look within your budget. BUT WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A CLUE? Best place to start is to know the "theme" of your wedding. It doesn't have to be something as obvious as say a Nautical theme, more what is the feel you are going for? Elegant and full of glitz, rustic backyard, natural with touches of vintage? Then it is best to have your bridesmaids dresses picked or at the very least your colours. These are the key elements that will determine the flower choices and style that will fit your wedding. You can even go looking online for inspiration, I suggest ignoring the colours and even the flower types and just look at the shape/style. Figure out what you like the look of and we can always do that in your colours and with flowers that fit your budget. WHAT INFORMATION DO YOU NEED TO PROVIDE ME WITH A PROPOSAL? We like to have the above mentioned colour palette (swatches are great!) and "theme" of your wedding along with the style you are drawn to. Then we need to know what all you are looking for and how many of each: Bridal bouquet, Bridesmaids bouquets, Groom boutonniere, Groomsmen boutonnieres, Flower girls, Ring bearers, Mothers' corsages, Fathers' Boutonnieres, Grandparents' flowers, centerpieces, cake flowers, other reception decor, ceremony decor, etc. and where it is all being delivered to. From there we can make a proposal based on that or you can provide us with a budget and we will work to make your wants fit within that budget. A proposal is just that, it is our proposed plan and is not something that is set in stone. We are more than happy to make alterations to it, to make you happy with the final plan. I'VE RECEIVED MY PROPOSAL AND I'M HAPPY WITH IT, HOW DO WE PROCEED? If you have not already paid a retainer to hold your date this is the time to do it, to ensure it stays available for you. Once your initial retainer is paid we can discuss your payment plan. We understand that their is a lot to pay for with a wedding and we are willing to let you pay over time leading up to the wedding, as long as the balance is paid in full before the flowers are ordered from our suppliers. To make life as easy as possible we accept Cash, Debit, Visa, Mastercard, E-transfers, and cheques (as long as they are received a month before the wedding) I HAVE TO MAKE AN ALTERATION TO MY WEDDING, OR CANCEL IT, WHAT IS YOUR POLICY? Life happens! If you have to alter your wedding order and it is more than 1 month before your wedding and you aren't removing more than 10% then that is not a problem. If it is after the product has been ordered from my suppliers then in most cases I cannot cancel and will then take those flowers and add them to other elements within your wedding to elevate them. If you must cancel your wedding then we will talk it out, and find a solution that we can both be happy with. The refund amount will be based on the amount of work put into the wedding up to that point. |
